Answers Counseling is licensed by the Health Care Authority's Division of Behavioral Health & Recovery to provide outpatient mental health therapy. We specialize in providing person-centered individual counseling and emotional wellness support for adults who have Apple Health/Medicaid health insurance.
Our providers include licensed mental health counselors (LMHC), licensed independent clinical social workers (LICSW), psychiatric advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP), and licensed social work associates - independent clinical (LSWAIC).
For your convenience, our licensed behavioral health specialist can meet with you in-person or through telehealth or GoToMeeting session. We also provide mental health counseling to patients of MultiCare’s Tacoma Family Medicine in Tacoma, Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, and START Clinic (pregnant individuals with Substance Use Disorder). We accept all of the Medicaid/Apple Health Insurance Plans in Washington State:

We also partner with the MultiCultural Child & Family Hope Center (MCFHC) to support the following programs through funding from HCA's Division of Behavioral Health & Recovery:
- Mental Health Promotion Project – utilizing evidence-based curriculum such as Incredible Years (IY) for parents and Coping and Support Training (CAST) for teens. Also providing free Youth Mental Health Training (YMHFA) sessions.
- Opioid Use Disorder Project – utilizing evidence-based curriculum such as the Strengthening Families Program. Also providing information for Starts With One, Prescription Opioid Take-Back Day, and Provider Opioid Safety.
